My story

1st trouble in 2005 (numb feet, denied by my medical Dr although I proposed that it was MS), 2nd flare in 2007 (denial again, but I demanded to see a neurologist), diagnosis in 2007 in la Pitié Salpétrière, started with Avonex (sept 2008-march 2009) then Copaxone (March 2009-November 2009), then Tysabri since January 2010. It seems to have stopped the disease. I walk with extreme difficulties, bladder control pb, equilibrium is uncertain.

Remarks

I hate the fact that a medical doctor (generalist) could deny my disease, while I brought her the possible diagnosis in 2005. I think Doctors should be better informed. The 1st neurologist I saw told me that it was the 2ary progressive form, and that there was nothing to do any more ! Luckily enough, I went to other neurologists who were more serious. After 3 shots of Solumedrol, I could walk again....
